The only rule of law in the Forest is the Law of Nature. The trees cannot be cut down, the rivers refuse to be diverted. The beasts grow to immense sizes and develop a vicious taste for blood. And beyond the trees, there’s nothing but sand. Those who live within its borders learn to be tough, and decide the weight of morality for themselves.

When their world is brought crumbling down around them, a group of survivors must learn to redefine morality and restructure a society—or else die trying to cross the desert as strangers.

They can be found in the original, 19th century building they’ve always been housed in and in the modern, technological marvel built especially for them. They are as varied in color, size, and personality as the birds of the world.
